Cook Time: 0 hr 20 min
Servings: 8
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tube of Pillsbury Breadsticks (you could also use Pillsbury Crescents)
- 3 tbsp of brown sugar
- 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
*Tip: If your child is a reader, allow them to read the recipe instructions and tell you, "the Grown-up", what to do. (Promotes reading, improves vocabulary knowledge and is a fun mini-role reversal!)
Grown-up: Heat oven to 350F (175C). Place oven rack in centre position.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Grown-up: Measure ingredients. Unroll dough.
Child: Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and mix. Have child sprinkle sugar mixture over dough.
Working together: separate dough into strips. Twist strips and then shape into form of hearts. Pinch dough at bottom of heart.
Place heart twists on lined baking sheet.
Grown-up: Put baking sheet into oven
Child: set timer for 12-15 minutes.
Let cool on wire rack. Using a plastic spatula, child can serve cooled twist hearts to plates.
Enjoy!
