Ingredients
2 pkgs Pillsbury Original Crescents
2 eggs
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup corn syrup
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
8 chocolate, pecan turtles
¼ cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
Heat oven to 325 degrees F
On floured surface, remove half of crescent dough from package and unroll without separating the 2 triangle crescents. Pinch the seam between the two triangles closed to form one solid rectangle.
Fold rectangle in half and roll out to form a 5"x 5" square. Place square in muffin pan.
Repeat with remaining crescents. Should make 8 tart forms. At this point, you can trim the excess dough from around the edges, (if you wish).
In a medium bowl, beat eggs. Stir in the brown sugar, corn syrup and butter.
In each tart, place one chocolate pecan turtle and cover with filling until tart is ¾ full. Do not overfill or filling will bubble over while cooking. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Bake tarts for 20 - 25 minutes, until pastry is golden brown and the middle of the tarts are set. Remove from oven and cool completely.
